Oxford City Stars have signed forward Carter Lloyd to bolster the squad.
Lloyd has played most of his ice hockey in Cardiff and after graduating from the Devils’ juniors iced for Cardiff Fire for four seasons.
Last season he played 13 games for Fire and 20 for Bristol Pitbulls via a two-way agreement, scoring 13 goals in total.
Lloyd said: “I’m excited to get started with Oxford and for a new challenge.
“I’ve been happy with everything Shane and Simon have been saying about the goals of the club and now can’t wait to get start and meet the team. Hopefully I can offer a lot going forward with my speed and drive to get the puck to the net. I can’t wait to meet the rest of the team and the fans.”
Stars’ head of hockey operations Shane Moore said: “Carter has been on the club’s radar for a while now, so I’m pleased to be able to bring him over. Carter brings lightning quick speed, which will trouble a lot of defenders this coming season.
“I felt last season we needed a broader range of skills, and the team that has been built this season has a little bit of everything. I’m expecting it to be an exciting season with all the new blood bringing a different dimension to the roster this year.”
