Shane Moore has appealed to the players to keep the club’s “feel good” factor going and spoke of his determination to cause some upsets before the end of the season.
Moore steered the Stars to a 7-2 home victory last weekend in his first match overseeing coaching. The team put in a great performance and Moore said they have worked hard in training and are determined to keep competing.
The Stars travel to league champions Streatham Redhawks on Saturday and MK Thunder on Sunday.
They will be without Will Birch, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a shoulder injury on Sunday. Birch has been icing for the Stars on a two-way with Basingstoke Buffalo and has put in some great performances. Everyone at the club wishes him a speedy recovery.
Moore said: “This weekend brings us two challenging games, at both ends of the league.
“It’s crucial we continue working within our systems, supporting each other and keeping the momentum we started to build last weekend.
“The boys worked hard again in training this week and we want to keep that good feeling going. These game in the stretch of the season are important for us to secure a play off place and with the play offs we all know anything can happen. We will be prepared and ready to cause some upsets.”
