Saunders signs Covey

The Oxford City Stars are pleased to secure the services of 17 Year Old Defenceman, Joseph Covey, who joins the club for the 24/25 season from the Streatham Blackhawks

Joseph adds to the D-Line of the Stars and had this to say upon signing:

I can’t wait to keep working with Mark Saunders for another season. I am also really looking forward to playing in front of such a loyal fan base. I promise to work hard and i hope you welcome me into the Stars family!!!”

Saunders had this to say:

Joe is a player I’ve known for a long time, he has a great attitude and he’s keen to impress and show what he can do at NIHL1 level.

He fits in well with our young, work hard ethos and has been pushing himself in practice knit in the the group as we start for the upcoming 24-25 campaign and I’m looking forward to seeing the impression he can make on our games.

Covey iced for both Streatham U-18’s and the Blackhawks last season and will look to make the step up a division upon joining the Stars.
