We have mutually agreed with MK Thunder to postpone the game this evening after the tragic news of Adam Johnson passing away whilst playing for Nottingham Panthers last night.
As a club, we wish to mark our respects and are saddened to hear that our Governing body, the EIHA wish for games to continue. Ticket Refunds will be provided in due course.
We thank you all for your understanding.
Director of Hockey Operations, Shane Moore had this to say:
"While our governing body, the EIHA, has chosen not to postpone games, we feel it is in poor taste to force teams to play. We stand with those who may feel uneasy playing under these circumstances. In light of this, we've made the decision with Milton Keynes Thunder, to reschedule our fixture as a mark of respect.
We would like to express our gratitude to MK Thunder for their solidarity in this decision. Our thoughts are with Adam's family, friends, and the entire Nottingham Panthers organisation during this incredibly difficult time. May he rest in peace."
