Netminder Ross Miller has re-signed for Oxford City Stars.
The Welshman’s outstanding performances between the pipes again last season attracted interest from other clubs. But Miller has committed to the Stars again for the 2022/23 season.
Head Coach Simon Anderson hailed Miller as “one of the best goaltenders in the league” and said re-signing him was top of his list.
Anderson said: “Getting Ross back for this season was a massive priority for me. No question he is one of the best goaltenders in the league and legitimate number one.
“He is a great guy in the room and really popular with his teammates and the fans. With Ross in our net he will give us a chance to win every match and I am looking forward to having him as part of our roster for the upcoming season.”
Miller said: “I’m thrilled to be back at Oxford for this season.
“Last season even though we had our work cut out on the ice, off ice it was certainly one of the most enjoyable seasons I’ve had and I couldn’t have been happier to be around all the people I’ve met in the past three years again.
“Oxford is a great club with a great spirit and with some exciting changes announced and to be announced I look forward to challenging up the table this season.”
