Fan favorite Ross Miller has put pen to paper and committed his future to Oxfordshire's premier ice hockey team for the 23/24 season. The Welsh shot stopper has been a massive part of the club for the past 4 seasons, and this season will mark his 5th in the Oxford jersey!
Miller posted a 90% save average last year, his best yet in Oxford colours and Head Coach Simon Anderson thinks we are still yet to see his best. Anderson said "Millsy is a massive part of the City Stars. He's a great guy in the room and committed to his trade. Having him in net gives us a chance in every game. He makes all the saves you would expect, and throws in many more on top that most goal tenders wouldn't get close too. It was clear last year that we were not strong enough in defence, and thats something myself and Shane will be addressing in preparation for the new season. I'm excited to see what Ross can do with a strengthened defensive core in front him."
Ross added "I love Oxford, the guys in the room, the fans, the club. Oxford City Stars has been a big part of my life for the past few seasons, and I really believe in what the club is trying to build. It will be an exciting season again, and I hope we can start off quickly out of the blocks, gel as a group and start the campaign well. Simon has shared his plans with me and I had no worries about signing back."
