Look who’s back: Josh is back!

Oxford City Stars captain Josh Florey has re-signed for the club for the new campaign.

Florey, 28, did not hesitate to re-join his home club for his 8th consecutive season at Oxpens.

“I’m excited to be pulling on the yellow and blue jersey for another season. I’m keen to get going whenever that may be.”

Florey will offer new head coach Dean Birrell with useful options for the campaign, with the utility player able to play both defence and forward.

“I’m looking forward to working under Dean, who is a great appointment in my eyes and I believe the team will benefit from that this season,” added Florey. “I’d just like to say thank you to all Stars fans for their continued support, and I look forward to seeing you all at Oxpens soon. Stay safe.”

Dean Birrell said: “Josh is an integral part of the squad and we’re pleased to have secured his services for another season. He is part of the core of the team and a leader and I’m looking forward to working with him on and off the ice.”

OWN AND LOAN!

You can help back the club by sponsoring Josh Florey’s home and away jerseys via our popular Own and Loan programme. Sponsor the home or away jersey for £100 – or both for £150.

And new this year – you can have your name (personal name or company name) on the player’s jersey. These are the jerseys Josh will play in – you would own and loan them to Josh and receive them at the end of the season.
