Netminder Ross Miller has re-signed for the Oxford City Stars 2021/22 campaign.
The Welshman who picked up three titles at the club’s last end of season awards is a key signing.
His standout performances between the pipes for the Stars’ attracted interest from other clubs, but Miller had no hesitation in re-signing for the Stars.
Miller said: “I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to stay at the Stars. My first season at Oxford was one of my best and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. I’m looking forward to getting back and seeing the league has to offer this season.”
Head Coach Dean Birrell said: “Ross comes highly recommended by everyone at the club, which speaks volumes.
“He is a hard worker, talented and is a good character. We are very pleased to have secured him for the season. I know other clubs were interested in Ross, so it speaks volumes for the club that he did not hesitate to re-sign.
“We are looking forward to the season after such a long gap in play and are working hard on building a competitive squad. We are looking to combine experience with young talented and ambitious players. This is a club where young players will be given an opportunity to develop and become part of the Stars.”
