Oxford City Stars are pleased to announce the arrival of Ollie Harris, who joins Simon Anderson's team from Milton Keynes Thunder.
The 24year old Harris promises to bring a new level of excitement and skill to the ice as he embarks on his journey with the Stars for the upcoming season.
Hailing from the Coventry, Ollie Harris finished as the Thunders 2nd top point scorer last season and caught the eye of the Stars coaching team whenever he lined up against them. Last season, Harris's accumulate an impressive 20 points in 28 games in a side that battled at the bottom of the table all season, including an impressive tally of 8 goals.
"Oliver is someone I have admired as a player for some time, and I am happy that I have managed to recruit him for the upcoming season," commented Head Coach Simon Anderson. "He had a really good season in MK last year from an individual point of view and was ever present in their lineup, which impressed me from a commitment point of view, especially as we struggled a lot with that on our roster at times. He skates really well, and I feel his game will suit the way I want us to play this year, so I am really looking forward to having him join us."
When asked about joining Oxford City Stars, Harris expressed his excitement, saying, "I'm looking forward to the opportunity and I can't wait to get started and see what we are able to achieve this season. There is always a great lively atmosphere playing at Oxford, and I'll be buzzing to have that support behind me."
