The wins are coming I'm pretty sure of that.
A tough 2-1 loss in Slough was hard to take and I felt the boys deserved more for their efforts.This seems to be a theme in terms of effort and not getting the rewards,but sometimes that's hockey.I truly believe that if we keep playing the way we are then the positive results will come.
We spoke about being more defensively responsible,especially after our heavy defeats against Streatham and Invicta and since then we have been really outstanding in our end zone coverage.We are winning our loose puck battles more,collapsing and protecting the house and doing whatever it takes to keep the puck out of our net.
As I say to the boys,This is Everyone's Net!!
We just need to bare down offensively,as I really believe that if you concede only 2 goals in a game then you really should be walking away with the 2 points.
As a team we will batten down the hatches and keep working as hard as necessary to turn these close losses into wins and the work starts again on Wednesday in practice.
We are still looking to add to our roster,but it's proving a lot harder than in previous season as there just isn't the players available right now.We are hopefully close on a forward,but nothing is guaranteed right now,but we will see how that goes this week.
Finally I would like to thank the fans who travelled to Slough,the boys really appreciate the support and we have an honest bunch of guys that are all working hard to turn our fortunes around,I can assure you of that.
