Oxford City Stars, Oxfordshire's only professional ice hockey team, is delighted to announce the return of the dynamic forward, Theo Bunduck, for the upcoming 2023/2024 season. Bunduck's highly anticipated comeback after an impressive performance last season brings excitement and anticipation to the team and its dedicated fan base.
At the age of 24, Theo Bunduck has already established himself as a natural goal-scorer, with his on ice performances increasing year on year over the last few seasons. In the previous season, Bunduck showcased his scoring prowess by netting an impressive nine goals in just 18 games, leaving an indelible mark on the team's performances. Starting the year with the Oxford Rising Star's in NIHL2, he picked up 15 points in just 14 games, forcing Simon Anderson's to call him up full time to the City Stars in NIHL1.
"I'm looking for Theo to take a big step this year" Stated Simon Anderson, H?ead Coach of the Oxford City Stars "Last year he started with the Development Team, The Rising Stars and played really consistently and deservedly earned his full time call up to the Stars in mid season.
Theo scored 9 goals in that time with us and I thought he did really well when given the opportunity .I really like his game, he has good puck skills, skates well and has a real nice quick release and a scoring knack. At times he has the ability to score for fun.
If Theo can really knuckle down this year and keep working on his game, both on and off the ice, he will get plenty of chances to show us how capable he is at NIHL1 level."
