2025/26 OPPONENTS
Slough Jets

The Slough Jets are the reigning NIHL1 Champions and NIHL1 Playoff Champions from the 2024/25 Season. Lukas Smital retakes charge of the
defending Champions as they bid to hold onto their accumulated silverware for another season. The Jets possess a great deal of youth, talent
and pace making their team a phenomenal opponent. Much of the same is expected from this team in 2025/26.
Streatham Redhawks

Streatham Redhawks had been dominant in the Britton Division for many seasons before the Jets took their crown.
A trophy-less season for the Redhawks just spurs their hunger to capture their former position at the top, and Ben Paynter has been
busy assembling a roster that will look to do just that. Expect Streatham to be in and around the top of the Britton Division.
Chelmsford Chieftains

Lewis Clifford remains at the helm of the Essex outfit, who return as the Southern Cup Champions after an amazing
aggregate comeback victory over the Redhawks saw them lift the trophy in 2024/25. The capture of Ross Miller from
the Stars outlines their intentions to be fighting with the top dogs this season with the Bartlett's ever present among the Chieftains Offence.
Solent Devils

Alex Murray resumes charge of the south coast Solent Devils as they attempt to improve on their league position after
consecutive 4th placed finishes. The Stars rand the Devils close in a few encounters last year and the Devils pop up with a shock result
here and there. Expect them to be flirting with the top 4 once again in 2025/26.
Invicta Dynamos

The longest journey for the Stars this season is the Gillingham based outfit, the Invicta Dynamos. Finishing 5th
for the last two consecutive seasons means they'll be another opponent looking to step up their game and
pose a threat to the top end of the table. Top points scorer Aaron Connolly will be one among many to look out for.
Romford Buccaneers

Coachless Buccaneers at the time of writing are a strong opponent filled with talented youth, pace and skill that
can cause any opponent distress on their day. The Buccaneers are capable of springing results out of the bag
but consistency has been their issue. Expect the Buccaneers to make game day difficult for a few teams this season.
Swindon Wildcats 2

The Swindon Wildcats, considered Oxford's Derby in the NIHL1 South had a good season after making the step
up from the NIHL2. A roster filled with faces that Stars' fans would recognise. A comfortable
Playoff finish for the Wildcats 2 last season leads them with plenty to build on as they chase the teams above.
Cardiff Fire

The Cardiff Fire also stepped up from NIHL2 last season and pipped the Stars to the final Playoff Spot
with a couple of games to to play. Another roster compromising of recognisable names for Stars' fans and a team that
caused the Stars some issues in regulation time in 2024/25. The Fire will be looking to build on their Playoff finish and push further up
the table in the 2025/26 campaign.
